Data Scientist

Ovise has partnered on this search with an international cruise liner and they are seeking an experienced Data Scientist to lead Research & Development initiatives. This full-time position is based in Miami, Florida, and focuses on integrating emerging technologies into AI and ML capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead R&D efforts focused on advanced statistical, machine learning (ML), and artificial intelligence (AI) methods.
• Explore new technologies and capabilities both independently and collaboratively.
• Script and program while mentoring other data scientists.
• Present findings to stakeholders and collaborate on research experiments.
• Evaluate progress on research methods and experimental technologies.
• Analyze high-volume, high-dimensional data to identify patterns and trends.
• Design and integrate R&D prototypes into larger systems.
• Assist with customer analytics and develop communications for management.
• Promote a data-driven culture and engage with teams to enhance data science capabilities.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Engineering.
• 4+ years of experience with programming languages (R, Python, Java, C++, etc.) and SQL.
• Proficiency in data science, AI, and ML disciplines.
• Experience designing experiments and researching innovative solutions.
• Familiarity with data mining processes and statistical methods.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
